We can proudly say it " this world is not my home I'm just a passing through" if we know that there is a much better place or shall I say the best place than this world. Think about it, Jesus said: Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God believe also in me, in my father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you, I go and prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there ye maybe also. John 14: 1-3. What a wonderful promise and God can not lie and will not lie. All the tribulations in this world will pass away. We will not put our hearts in this world and it's treasures because all these things will pass away. We will focus our minds to serve God and invest our time and money to support HIS work.

I just can't believe it!!

I'm sorry but I am not happy with the election result. I don't know why I can't stand listening to him? He is full of lies, I can't believe why people who voted for him can not get it? Who are for abortion? gay marriage and more? Wow!! I can't believe people don't realize what they are into. Anyway, let's just wait and see what will happen for the next 4 years in America. Hope there will be a change for the better not for worse. Good luck people who voted for the president. God Bless you.

Having fun with my short vacation

It is a blessing to have friends around you. I was invited by a friend to have a short vacation near the beach area. Oh!! wow, I was happy when she told me we can stay for a week there. We are looking forward to be on the beach right when we get there but sad to say that on our first day, the sky was so dark and was showering, well, not a good day to go to the beach so we end up shopping. We went to different consignment stores and other places where we can find good deals of things we want to add to our collection. They don't have big malls over there which is good because we don't have lots of money to buy in that expensive stuff in the mall and besides, our purpose is to go to the beach not to shop but because of the weather, we just go around to see the place. Well, the weather did not cooperate again on the second day, so, we've decided to go to airlie Garden. Wow!! that's a wonderful place, 67 acres garden, with ponds, birds, plants of different kinds, butterflies, and art designs. We walk around the garden for about 2 hours taking pictures and all that. We are so tired but it was fun. Finally, on our second to the last days of stay in the area, we went to the beach. It was so amazing. I find it very different from where I come from. I mean, in my country, beaches are nice too but we have small cottages right at the beach to where you can put your food and other things you bring to the beach but there? oh!! my nothing at all. The beach was full of people just lying on the sand, some brought their little umbrella, small tents and their folding chair so that they can sit comfortably under the sun. Wow!! most of them brought their reading materials and read. Some families who have kids brought their balls and other things that their kids can play. It was fun to watch these people in their different activities. Most of them were not bringing food because they were renting on those beach houses, apartments, and condo in the beach area. That's what we don't have in our beach area in my country, except maybe in a big commercial beaches. In our place, beaches are exclusively owned by somebody, there is a specific place where people claimed it theirs but in America, the beach is for everybody. There are people who owned beach houses and they have it rented for those who want to have vacation on the beach but the beach has no restrictions of who owns it. Wow!! It was fun!! but unfortunately swimming was not fun when we were there because the waves were so big and strong, these can knock you down. Only very few went to swim and surrendered in a few minutes because of the waves, but it was fun. we stayed there for about 6 hours then we went home and swim in the pool for about 2 hours. Feels so relaxing. How I wish I can come back someday.

Can't Stand with the cold

It is really cold in our place now. No snow whatsoever but men, I can't stand with the cold. I really love to see snow once in a while but for this winter, we never experience snow but the cold is so unbearable for me. I am not used to the cold like this because I was born and raise in a tropical country where we seldom wear coats in a year. We only have rain and chilly breeze on December in my country and for the rest of the months it is pretty much hot and humid. Even if I am living in another country now, I still can not adjust to the coldness I never have experience in my childhood.
Lots of people in my country, are wishing to come to a place where there is snow for they only see snow in the movie. They love to experience wearing thick jackets with fur and boots too. They thought that wearing gloves on winter days are really cute. Huh!! without realizing how uncomfortable we are who are in that situation. For me, I don't like to wear gloves but because of the cold, I have to do it or else I will be frozen in the cold. I can't wait for spring. I now keep on counting the days where it will be warm again.

My precious grandmother is getting up there in years. While she is still fully lucid, and definitely not in anyway incapable, she is getting a little slower and a little more likely to take a spill. We had a very scary situation a few months back when she was pulling weeds in the yard and took a tumble down her hill. She broke her ankle and rolled for a bit before a neighbor spotted her and luckily ran over to help. While she lives close enough that we can take a day trip to see her, she is still a couple hours away, so getting there in good time if there was an emergency would be difficult. We worry about her going up and down the stairs inside, where there would be no one to see her fall. This is where her adt Seattle alarm comes in. It helps my mom and I sleep better at night, and it's definitely worth the couple of dollars a month we spend on it.

Street Demonstrations

Street demonstration is not the solution to the problem instead it makes the problem worst. Why people don't understand that they can not change anything if they will make another problem? Look at the people in Wall Street in New York City. They have been there for a month already but did any change happen? nothing at all. Well, it's not shocking to me if I hear anything like that because demonstration always happen in my country. What I don't like with this is that, it won't do anything to solve the problem. They are just giving additional stress to the people around them who are trying their best to make money for a living. These people who are doing this demonstrations are just a disturbance to the community. It will not help anybody to earn money to feed their family and pay their bills. What a waste of time.

I just wish that these people would realize that the time they put in to do the demonstration is precious, they could have use it to find something to benefit their family. What a shame.

A wish comes True

I did post here few months ago about my frustrations of not getting the job I applied for. I know I can do the job and I am qualified than the ones they hired because I have the degree while the one they hired,,,,, well I don't know if she has the degree for that position. It took me several days to get over my frustrations and aggravation but I said to myself, "someday they will be the one to call me even if I don't apply because they will need my service" those are just wishes with the hope that it will come true. From that time on... I forget all about it and I busy myself with other things.

One day, I received a call from them asking me if I am interested for another position opened in their institution. Well, the job opening is not in my line of expertise, so I decline immediately because I don't want to give them false hopes that I can do the job even if I have no experience in that area. I don't care if I have no work, I don't want to experiment doing things that I have no idea of how to do it for the sake of having a job.

After a year, they call me again for another job offer, well, I prayed about it because I love that kind of job. After days of prayer, I got the job. They hired me without any interview or whatsoever. What I can say is that, your wish will come true if God will permit it to happen.
I never send any application to them anymore, I just did once and when they did not call me instead they hired another person, I opted not to send any application anymore. What is aggravating in this situation is that I work with them for 3 years as volunteer, then when there's a job opening instead of hiring me,,,,, because they know me well enough due to my volunteering, they hire someone who never volunteer to work with them, and is new to the area for she come from another place and just new to the area. That's what pissed me off. But anyway, my wish comes true and that is the most wonderful thing that had happened.

Whisper a prayer of thanks

Yes, I am thankful to God for the opportunity of being hired in spite of the job crisis all around us today. Everyday, we keep on hearing about people who lost their jobs. Tough, tough, very tough economic situations we are facing now. But then, I am thankful that at last, I got a job but I waited to have a job for five years. Anyway, everything has a season. Now is my time.

I love the job I am doing now. I worked more that the hours that I suppose to work and all those extra hours I considered them as volunteer work because I am not paid for extra and I don't mind it because I love this kind of work I am doing. When I was working before, I always work for extra mile, without pay and that was in my country. Now that I am here in America, I still do the same. I just consider my extra hours as volunteer work. This is just my way of saying "thank you for the opportunity of having work in this very tough job hunting situation we are in.

Whispering a prayer of thanksgiving is all my heart can say. Thank you Lord for everything.

Gay Marriage approved in New York City

It is now a headlines of the news that gay marriage is approve in New York city. Oh!! I am not sure of how to react to this fact. I read a lot of gays are happy and now they are busy preparing to be married. To me this is a ridiculous thing to happen. I think that the world nor is becoming crazy. How can a man marry somebody with same sex? I'm it is such a crazy thing to think about.

According to record, of all the states in America, 5 states approved to legalize gay marriages. As far as I know, this gay marriages are only common in America. I did not hear of any gay marriages being legalized in other countries specially in the Asian countries. Of course there are lots of gays all over the world but for gays to get married with a guy? I've never heard of it except here in America. Well, it is not good to judge and I am not judging but if we are going to trace since the beginning of creation, God created man and woman to be husband and wife not man for man and woman for woman. Anyway, this goes to show that the world now is becoming so ridiculous that is no longer desirable to live anymore.

Well, what we can do is just to do what is right in the sight of God. Whatever the society is doing which is not morally correct, we will do away with it. Even if there are lots of evil doers in this world, there are still good people who are afraid to do wrong. Let's keep up the moral standard of a Christian. Good luck to everyone.

Panda Express has been in my city for around seven to eight years. Ever since they were established, they were a favorite in my family. Panda Express offers Asian food, made fresh, with fresh and natural ingredients, including rice, chicken, beef, etc.

My favorite dish is the orange chicken bar-none. This chicken is just chicken breast chunks with an orange glaze, with some spices, but is so good to your taste buds and satisfying to your stomach. It is always warm, in temperature and spice, along with the orange flavor, making it seem as if it is a delicacy. My family is not the only ones that absolutely love the orange chicken, it is a restaurant favorite. Learn to accept the reality of life

That's right. Learn to accept the reality of life wherever you are. Speaking of job opportunities nowadays, even of you have the ability and you are qualified for the job you applied for, if you have no connections, it is really hard to be hired. I have seen a lot of unqualified people for the job they are in but because they have connections, the were able to get the job. It is very aggravating and frustrating to see this happening but what can we do?

A lot of people said, " you have to do volunteer work in order to market your ability". Wow!! that is easier said than done. With the gas price keep on increasing almost everyday, how many people would drive 10-15 miles to do volunteer work? Maybe there are some but hey!! is it fair? Well, others will just do it just to know gain experience and to have reference if somebody will hire them in the future.

It is indeed frustrating. It happened to me many times already that I applied for the job that I know I am qualified for that certain position because I have a degree while the work doesn't ask for any degree but I wasn't hired for the reason I am not sure what. Well, I know it is not good to question them why? but I did it. Well, sounds embarrassing to me, but hey!! I have to speak up.
They told me different reasons. The other said, I am over qualified for the job, some said we want to hire you in another position which is (very impossible to be created) and right then, I said to myself, if we have no connections, even if we are qualified, no body would hire us.

I am just wishing that someday they will be the one to ask me when they see that I can do things that others ( specially those they hired in place of me) can not do. Hey!! I know I have special skills that can benefit their organization. I know that what I have, others don't have. So someday, they will realize that they need my service. LOL JUST A WISH.

Home Security is a must wherever you live

Gone are the days when you can just leave your windows and doors open during hot summer days while you are doing something inside your house or maybe when you are at your back yard but now no more. We have to lock our doors all the time for our safety.

You can read in the news everyday about burglars breaking in houses and crimes are everywhere. I'm just glad that in the place where I am living now, the environment is safe but still I won't leave the door unlock specially if I am alone in the house. Hubby always tell me to lock the front and back doors and don't open the door to strangers. It is just funny because I won't open the door even to the Fed-ex or USPS people. Well, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I am thinking that in America, it is safer to live than in other countries because you can't hear about rebels and other bad elements knocking your doors asking for support. But I was mistaken because in big cities all forms of crimes and burglary are present everywhere. This is why it is always important to prevent the chance to become a victim. In our present economic situation, burglars and criminals are very smart to find their way and for this reason it would be helpful if there is security alarm in our homes so that we can be warned of possible dangers then immediate action can be done to arrest the culprit.

I would spend whatever the cost for security alarm so that I can be at peace knowing that my property and loved ones are protected whole year round.
